The First Seven Minutes of Each Day
Here is something practical I’ve learned through trial and error (mostly error). My undergraduate major, before law school, was in psychology, so I’ve done a lot of study in psychology. Much psychology is not sound, but much of it is sound: practical ways to make life work. Psychology tells us that our lives are largely formed within the first 7 YEARS we are alive. Sometimes my spirit sinks when I hear certain things preached. When you truly connect with the truth and the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ, you realize that so many things that are preached are nothing more than humanistic religion. They were against abortion, booze, adultery, divorce, and every other type of sin. She said when she asked them what they were ’for,’ they only said, "Jesus!"
